The Da Avatar-An Introduction
to the Life and Work of Avatar Adi Da
A recommended introduction to the life and work of Adi Da Samraj from His birth
to the present. Students will gain an understanding of the uniqueness of Adi Da
within the context of the Great Tradition of human wisdom and spirituality. Courses
"The Da Avatar", "The Reality-Way of Adidam", and "Preparing
to Enter the Lay-Congregationist Order of Adidam Ruchiradam" are newly prepared
and presented by James Alwood, one of Adidam’s most senior writers and educators,
and they reflect significant changes in how Adi Da’s life and work, and the Way
of Adidam, can be understood. These courses comprise the essential educational stream
for all who wish to become Adi Da’s formal devotees.

The Reality-Way of Adidam
An introduction to “radical” devotion, right life, and “Perfect Knowledge”, the
essential elements of the Way of Adidam. This course is based on the most up-to-date
instructions and teachings of Avatar Adi Da, which simplify and clarify the foundation
and practice of the Way of Adidam.

Access to Consciousness
Sighting of the Awakened Master is the foundation of all the esoteric traditions
of humankind. Via this Sighting, the Master directly Transmits his or her Spiritual
Realization. The Adidam Academy is offering an opportunity to experience the Transcendental
Spiritual Revelation of Avatar Adi Da by “Sighting” His Bodily Human Form
and “Listening” to His Empowered Teaching Word, and to explore your responses to
this experience in an intimate and personalized class, led by a senior Academy Instructor.

The Great
Secret
The Great Secret is an introductory four-week course based on Ancient Walk-About
Way, a collection of Essays and Talks by the Divine Avataric Master, Adi
Da Samraj. In taking this course, you will learn about the transformative relationship
that Avatar Adi Da offers to His devotees, and why the relationship between Awakened
Master and devotee has always been at the heart of all True Spirituality, even since
the most ancient pre-civilization days. You will also develop a deeper understanding
of the Reality-Way of Adidam that has been Revealed and Given by Avatar Adi Da Samraj,
and why Adidam is a unique and unparalleled Gift of Grace.

Beyond Ego-Based Sexuality
Beyond Ego-Based Sexuality examines the core issues of human sexuality
in relationship to real Spiritual practice. Based on the book The Complete Yoga
of Emotional-Sexual Life, by Avatar Adi Da Samraj, this course is an opportunity
to enter into in-depth consideration of the unconscious factors that control human
sexuality (whether one is sexually active or not) and to examine how it is possible
to engage authentic Spiritual practice in the context of human love-intimacy (or
in the context of fully life-positive single celibacy).

The following classes will be offered by Anne Henderson beginning the week of April
12th. These classes take place weekly, over the telephone, for eighteen weeks. The

Devotional Yoga Class
A teleconference class on the Devotional Yoga--the practice of devotion to the Divine
Person, Avatar Adi Da Samraj--begins on Monday, April 12. This is an immersion in
Beloved Bhagavan's Instruction on turning the four faculties and on devotion to
Him both in meditation and daily life. We will study Surrender Self by Sighting
Me, principal Discourses from Ishta, and The Ancient Walk-About Way. Classes are
intimate and conversational, based on the recitation, discussion, and practice of
Bhagavan's Instruction to us. Classes meet weekly for an hour over the telephone
for 18 weeks. The cost is $60 per month or $300. And here is a word from Joani McNair,

will Draw you in so tenderly. I found this course complemented and encouraged daily
practice, and brought me into contact with a wonderful group of people whose heart-surrender

The Knee Of Listening Class
The Knee Of Listening course will begin on Tuesday, April 13, open to everyone.
There is no "homework", other than reading a chapter of the text each week. The
uniqueness of Bhagavan's Person, Realization, and Offering become effortlessly obvious
simply by listening to His Divine Presence tell His early-Life Story, which is so
wonderfully intimate to Him. And much additional Leela and other adjunct material
is brought into each class meeting. Fundamentally, of course, The Knee Of Listening
is simply a contemplation of the Blissful Divine Mystery of Beloved Adi Da’s Appearance
here--and this is probably why everyone says that the class is the highlight of
their week. Comments from recent students are included below. This is a 19-session
course that meets for an hour each week via teleconference. The tuition is $300
or $60/month.
On the final evening of Anne Henderson's class on THE KNEE OF LISTENING, I felt
like signing up for the next semester and doing it all again as soon as possible!

on Adi Da's Talks and devotees' leelas to light the depths and dimensions of this

Easy Death Class
The Easy Death class begins again on Wednesday, April 14, open to everyone. During
the 18 weeks of the course, we read the entire text, do a brief survey of some of
the books that Avatar Adi Da has placed in the Death and Dying section of His Basket
Of Tolerance, and enjoy a number guest speakers. For example, Dennis Dardzinski
joins us to share his experience as a "sensitive" who is able to communicate with
the recently deceased, Judy Wendling, director of Mate Moce, draws on her decades
of experience to respond to practical questions of all kinds, and Ron Jensen enlarges
upon his story, in Easy Death, of serving the death of his brother, David. All are
invited to attend, and virtually everyone who attends has chosen to take the course
for a specific personal or professional reason. Often, they want to prepare themselves
as fully as possible to serve the transition of a loved one. People ask if this
course is suitable for non-devotees. And of course it is. I always speak privately
with non-devotee students before the course begins to be sure that they will be
comfortable with the fact that they will be joined by others who have a deep devotional
relationship to Avatar Adi Da and assure them that they will be welcomed with respect
and friendship by all. We use the most recent edition of Easy Death--the third edition,

Developing
the Way
This course is recommended for current novice student-beginners aiming to fully
establish the practice. The context of the course is Darshan of Adi Da and the cultivation
of recognition-response. A simple but potent daily study schedule focuses on “radical”
devotion, right life, and “Perfect Knowledge”. Online discussion forums make it
possible for students to communicate among each other and with the instructor even
outside of the class sessions. The forums will also be used for recording responses
to Darshan, study, meditation, and the daily form of practice. Students can interact
with devotees from different regions who are taking the course.

Living By Grace
"Living By Grace" is an 8 week intensive course specifically designed to deepen
the devotees contemplation of Avatar Adi Da Samraj. It follows "Developing the Way"
(course# 210) which guided devotees to fully living the form as 2nd and 1st congregation
practitioners.
Study for "Living By Grace" will focus on teachings from the Aletheon as well as
other current literature. Practically speaking, devotees will be intensifying their
practice of recognition and response to Bhagavan Adi Da Samraj by focusing on Listening
and Sighting, preparation for contemplation, conductivity exercises, the devotional
prayer of changes, and right participation with Bhagavan Adi Da Samraj in formal
meditation practice. The devotee is also encouraged to make changes in real-life
terms based on deepening self-understanding and participation with Bhagavan Adi
Da's intensified Grace entering their lives. This intensive has also been designed
to take into account Bhagavan's Zero-Point Education which Adi Da Samraj describes
as "re-education based on total psycho-physical "un-learning" of ego-"I" itself
and the real recognition of the egoless prior unity of the world".
Students will have daily study and written assignments and will meet once a week
via a teleconference call. Class size will be limited to 8 students.

Tending the Fire
"Tending The Fire" is an eight week study intensive designed to deepen the devotee's
understanding of Bhagavan's Aletheon Teaching. Practically speaking, devotees will
be intensifying their practice of recognition and response to Avatar Adi Da Samraj
by focusing on study of His Divine Word, listening to His Preliminary "Perfect"
Knowledge Practice of Transcendental Root Standing, using the Devotional Prayer
of Changes to grow in practice, and participating rightly with Avatar Adi Da Samraj
in formal meditation practice. Source texts used will be Atma Nadi Shakti Yoga,
The Boundless Self-Confession, No Seeking/Mere Beholding and The Teaching Manual
of Perfect Summaries. Devotees are encouraged and supported in making real-life
changes based on deepening self-understanding. Devotees will learn to grow in their
conscious participation with Avatar Adi Da Samraj’s obvious intensification of Grace
and Purification manifesting in their lives. Students will have daily study and
